The title is a reference to a line from Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man. "The ancient empty street's too dead for dreaming." The song is about the liminal state between wakefulness and sleep - and also a song bout the transition from the traditions of the past to the present and therefore to the future that exists in the next moment. The ancient street carries the weight of the past into the present. Both past and present exist simultaneously in the moment. Gallery wrapped canvas 16x20x1.5 ready to hang.
