Maribeth McFaul

I am drawn to images of nature with strong contrasts and vivid color. My current work is watercolor on Yupo (a smooth synthetic paper) which provides an opportunity to create small abstractions within a larger realistic composition.

My other artist expression, street painting, began as a hobby and a way to promote the arts in my community. It has now become an excuse to escape on periodic “art-cations” to chalk festivals around the country. I have received awards and featured artist recognition in various street painting events including Arts Alive in Mission Viejo, OC Fair, Big Fork, MT, Via Arte in Bakersfield, Palo Alto Festival of the Arts, ChalktoberFest in Marietta, Georgia, and the Sarasota International Chalk Festival in Florida.
